Back to the 90's for those of us who lived through the 90's, we remember it as a time of great music. Back then, you couldn't go anywhere without hearing Ace of Base or George Michael blaring from somebody's car stereo. And who could forget that iconic scene in The Matrix where Neo does his matrix-style martial arts moves to the tune of "Dangerous" by Busta Rhymes?
But the 90's were about more than just pop music. In the early part of the decade, hip hop and R&B were also making their mark with hits like " baby Got Back" and "I Wanna Sex You Up." And let's not forget about all the great dance tracks that came out of Europe, like Snap!'s "Rhythm is a Dancer" and La Bouche's "Be My Lover."
Of course, no discussion of 90's music would be complete without mention of the rise of electronic dance music, or EDM. This new genre was pioneered by artists like Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers, and it soon took the world by storm. Today, EDM is more popular than ever, thanks in part to its roots in 90's culture.
